Job summary

Comrise is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the build, test, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced hardware and systems. You will assemble hardware, diagnose issues, support prototypes, and maintain equipment while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

You'll work with electrical components, computers, networking gear, sensors, cables, and test equipment, using standard tools to ensure quality and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in engineering support or related technical environment.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, electromechanical, computer hardware.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Experience building/modifying electrical wiring and cable harnesses.
• Familiarity with common shop and diagnostic tools (DMM, oscilloscope, soldering iron).
• Experience with hardware/software integration and Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, modify, test, and troubleshoot hardware systems.
• Diagnose hardware issues using schematics, diagrams, and docs.
• Build/repair cable harnesses and electrical assemblies.
• Support prototype builds, test systems, and system integration.
• Configure computers, networking hardware, sensors, and components.
• Use shop and diagnostic equipment for validation and testing.
• Perform validation, functional testing, and quality inspections.
• Identify root causes and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.
• Provide feedback on design, manufacturability, and assembly processes.
• Maintain documentation of builds, tests, and changes in ticketing/docs.
