Danfoss in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a hands-on Prototype Technician to turn engineering concepts into working prototypes. You’ll build, test, and refine mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies, working closely with engineers and designers across product development.

You’ll document results, support testing setups, and help ensure quality and manufacturability throughout the development cycle.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in manufacturing or prototyping.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and CAD docs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand/power tools and test equipment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office; Maximo experience is beneficial.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Mansioni

• Build, assemble, modify, and troubleshoot prototypes supporting new product development.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify issues and improve designs for manufacturability.
• Perform functional testing with measurement tools and document results.
• Support setup, operation, and teardown of prototype test systems and instrumentation.
• Maintain shop equipment and support ISO 9001 maintenance processes in a safe workspace.
