Job summary

A defense contracting company seeks a Prototype Technician in Madison Heights, MI. In this temporary 6-month role, you’ll build tactical vehicles, perform assembly and disassembly, and maintain existing products. Candidates should have 2-4 years of mechanical experience, be able to read blueprints, and lift up to 50 lbs. A $1500 bonus is available at the end of the assignment. Full benefits start on the first day of the month following hire.

Qualifications

• At least 2-4 years of verified mechanical experience working in a shop atmosphere.
• Must be able to understand service manuals, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Essential functions include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Teardown and assemble military vehicles per engineering instructions.
• Advise on issues during vehicle assembly and disassembly.
• Repair and maintain heavy equipment including engines and transmissions.
• Diagnose issues and perform failure analyses.
