Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a results-driven Project Manager Engineer I to coordinate supplier-driven projects for data center and connectivity applications. You will define and track prototype requirements, manage purchasing activities in SAP, and report milestones and risks to stakeholders.

In this role, you will partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to close gaps, own follow-up actions, and ensure scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain with 2+ years of project-related experience.
• Experience with prototype development using MIM, 3D printing, Laser cutting, Chemical etching, PCBA fabrication and testing.
• Knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes including supplier follow-up and purchase orders.
• Experience using SAP for purchasing or project-related transactions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple due dates.
• Ability to partner with engineers without being the technical decision owner.
• Effective written and verbal communication; escalation of risks.
• Analytical and problem-solving with focus on schedule, cost, quality, scope.
• Self-directed and motivated; long-term career in project management.
• Ability to work with regional/global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Join a technical project team supporting data center and connectivity product development.
• Build a tracker for prototype requirements, supplier ownership, purchasing status, build milestones, delivery dates, risks, and open actions.
• Coordinate purchase requisitions, purchase order submission, supplier follow-up, and receipt of prototype materials or services.
• Work with technical experts to ensure suppliers receive complete and timely requirements and that technical questions are resolved.
• Provide concise, fact-based project updates and elevate risks that threaten prototype timing, cost, quality, or project objectives.
