Advanced Armor Research Group, LLC in Indian Head, MD is seeking a skilled mechanical drafter to support warhead development projects. You will create detailed drawings and 3D models, maintain BOMs, and ensure GD&T and ASME Y14 standards are applied.

You will use SolidWorks and Creo to develop parts and assemblies, manage documentation in Windchill, and collaborate with engineers, CM, QA, and manufacturing to transition designs toward production. Experience with DoD environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with SolidWorks and Creo for 3D mechanical modeling and drawings.
• Experience with Windchill or similar PLM for documentation and data management.
• Experience maintaining mechanical drawings, BOMs, and related data.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14-series practices.
• Experience supporting mechanical design, prototyping, testing, or development.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain mechanical drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and BOMs.
• Apply GD&T and ASME Y14 standards to ensure manufacturability and traceability.
• Coordinate with engineers, CM, QA, and manufacturing across the lifecycle.
• Support prototype fabrication, testing, and design maturation toward production.
• Manage drawing revisions, data packaging, and documentation in PLM systems.
