Job summary

Acro Service Corp in Elkton, MD is seeking a Drafter 3 to support our CAD Modeling and Drafting department. You will create 2D drawings and 3D models for product, tooling, and testing components and assemblies, and work on-site at Elkton, MD.

The role uses Siemens NX to develop detailed drawings, establish scale and references, and prepare production detail drawings. Knowledge of GD&T and ASME standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years min experience CAD Drafting and modeling.
• GD&T and ASME standards experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, lays outs, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data.
• Utilizes computer-aided design equipment, Siemens NX. Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.

We are looking for a Drafter 3 to support our CAD Modeling and Drafting department. As a member of the CAD Modeling and Drafting department you’ll get to create 2d CAD drawings and 3d CAD mdoels for Product, Tooling and Testing components and assemblies. This position will serve on-site at Elkton, MD.

Responsibilities

Plans, lays outs, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment, Siemens NX. Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.

5 years min experience CAD Drafting and modeling

Preferred Qualifications for Drafter 2
