Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the 2nd shift (Ardmore Building G) to perform mechanical, welding, machining, electrical and plumbing maintenance. The role requires PCB-like diagnostics, inventory management, and coordination with engineers and production teams.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associates preferred), 2+ years in industrial maintenance, and lathe experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a related technical area preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year of lathe experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical, welding, basic machining maintenance and troubleshoot drives.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment and machines.
• Maintain inventory and list parts to be ordered.
• Prioritize maintenance work orders by priority and record in the system.
• Install piping and electrical as needed when machines are moved or added.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet goals and customer expectations.
