Job summary

Form Energy is recruiting a hands-on technician to support electrode manufacturing trials and prototype development for iron-air batteries. You’ll collaborate with design, operations, and facilities to scale processes and ensure high-quality cathodes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in fast-paced manufacturing, strong documentation, and a passion for safety. The role is onsite at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, with opportunities in a growing American energy company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience executing manufacturing or engineering trials with strong quality standards.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document processes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and optimize new equipment with a focus on safety and process capability.
• Conduct engineering trials and data collection with careful attention to detail and documentation.
• Document and improve SOPs to deliver high-quality prototypes of cathodes for Form Energy's batteries.
• Transfer knowledge to Operations through on-the-floor training and support.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems during commissioning of new manufacturing lines.
• Solve novel mechanical challenges on pilot equipment and processes.
• Build and test prototype manufacturing equipment.
• Champion safety in the development of new equipment and processes.
