Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a skilled machinist to operate and maintain a range of machine tools in a corporate R&D lab. You will fabricate prototypes from 3-D models, design fixtures, and ensure parts meet exact tolerances.

This role requires a minimum of eight years in a machine shop, proficiency with blueprint reading and precision instruments, and experience with CNC tools (MasterCam preferred). Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Proficient in blueprint reading, shop math, geometry, and use of precision measuring instruments.
• Proficient in bench work including drilling, tapping, filing, assembly, and inspection of components for form, fit, and function.
• Minimum of eight years of machine shop or related experience.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain all Lab machine tools.
• Experience with CNC tools and programming is preferred (MasterCam).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools including milling machines, machining centers, lathes, surface grinder, drill presses.
• Fabricate and prototype components from 3-D models and blueprints within specified tolerances.
• Design and construct fixtures to aid machining processes.
• Perform maintenance on machine tools and maintain a safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures and corporate policies.
