Job summary

Net2Source Inc. is seeking a Prototype Mechanical Engineer to join a mining and heavy machinery project in Mossville/Chillicothe, Illinois.

This is a 12-month contract with possible extension to support rapid prototyping, design, and manufacturing of electrified machines and systems. You will collaborate with partner engineering teams, operate prototyping equipment (3D printers, CNC machines, welding), and help translate concepts into working prototypes while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 9+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Proven CAD/CAM and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support partner engineering teams with rapid design, analysis, and prototype manufacturing of electrified machines and systems.
• Operate and maintain prototyping machinery including 3D printers, CNC cutting/milling/welding, and electrical cable/harness fabrication.
• Aligned with 1 to 3 concurrent prototype project teams assisting with design, build, or test phases.
• Troubleshooting equipment, tracking prototype inventory, and providing logistics support.
