Job summary

Net2Source (N2S) seeks a Prototype Mechanical Engineer to accelerate design, analysis, and prototype manufacturing of electrified machines and systems at our Mossville/Chillicothe site.

You will operate prototyping machinery (3D printers, CNC cutting/milling/welding), support multiple project teams, troubleshoot equipment, track inventory, and help deliver prototypes safely and efficiently while collaborating with partner engineers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 9+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Aligned with 1 to 3 concurrent prototype project teams assisting with design, build, or test phases.
• Troubleshooting equipment, tracking prototype inventory, and providing logistics support.
• Enable prototype delivery for high-velocity and high-priority projects while working safely and efficiently.
• Engage with partner team engineers to develop best practices for prototype designs and manufacturing.

Position: Prototype Mechanical Engineer

• Support partner engineering teams with rapid design, analysis, and prototype manufacturing of electrified machines and systems.
• Operate and maintain prototyping machinery including 3D printers, CNC cutting/milling/welding, and electrical cable/harness fabrication.

Location: Mossville/Chillicothe (Peoria), Illinois

Duration: 12 Months of contract with possible extension

Role:

• Support partner engineering teams with rapid design, analysis, and prototype manufacturing of electrified machines and systems.
• Operate and maintain prototyping machinery including 3D printers, CNC cutting/milling/welding, and electrical cable/harness fabrication.
