Job summary
ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a Production Engineer – Prototype to support and improve manufacturing processes in the Aftermarket unit at the Berea Plant.
You will partner with Prototype, Operations, Design Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure production readiness and ongoing optimization of shocks and struts manufacturing. Qualifications
- Bachelor-level degree in a engineering discipline as listed.
- Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and root-cause analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Support daily production activities in Prototype area for safe, efficient output.
- Lead design reviews to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Lead process validation activities including trial builds, PFMEA, control plans, capability studies, and first-piece approvals.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes focusing on quality, efficiency, cost, and equipment performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and increase productivity.
- Support equipment troubleshooting and process issue resolution with Maintenance and Operations.
