Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Vocational machining training is highly desirable
• Strong blueprint reading and advanced GD&T interpretation
• Proficiency in CNC and manual machining
• Ability to perform setups independently and troubleshoot
• Strong understanding of tooling and fixturing selection
• Ability to evaluate part manufacturability
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective cross-functional communication skills
• Safety-first mindset and clean work area
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Independently machine complex prototype components
• Perform complete setups on manual and CNC equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirements
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies
• Make program modifications and process adjustments
• Support prototype part development from concept through first article
• Collaborate with engineers on manufacturability concerns
• Provide DFMA feedback
• Develop and document prototype manufacturing processes
• Support finishing, inspection, and assembly activities
• Assist in training less experienced machinists
• Troubleshoot dimensional, tooling, and process issues
• Participate in hand-off to production teams
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
