Job summary

Crestron Electronics Inc. is seeking a creative, hands-on prototype shop technician to fabricate parts and assemblies for design verification and product development.

You'll work in a high-tech engineering environment using metal and plastic materials to produce prototype components for new product development. You’ll be trained to program, set up, and operate shop equipment to produce precision parts in short runs, with CAD skills in Creo and a strong problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Education: College, Technical School or High School.
• 3–5 years experience.
• High mechanical aptitude to visualize 3D designs.
• Logical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technical skills including software applications and equipment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented, working to tight tolerances.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, and operate shop equipment to produce precision parts and assemblies.
• Assist other Prototype Shop staff with assembly and test fixtures.
• Rework of existing parts and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Read technical prints and use calipers; learn Creo CAD software.
