Job summary

AWE is seeking an R&D Fabrication Specialist I to support engineering and product development through prototype production, welding, and documentation. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the role requires hands-on fabrication, equipment maintenance, and a professional representation of the AWE brand.

You will fabricate fixtures and prototype components, perform MIG/TIG welding, photograph progress, and maintain tidy workspaces while following safety and TPM practices.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on metal fabrication experience (MIG/TIG welding, cutting, and fitting).
• 1–3 years of automotive technician experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Fabricate fixtures and prototype components with skill and attention to detail.
• Perform MIG/TIG welding as required for production needs.
• Photograph and document the development of both new and existing systems.
• Conduct daily TPM reviews for all assigned equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including worktables, lift areas, and equipment.
