Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced fabricator to build low-volume structural prototypes and weldments for advanced defense programs. You will own the manufacturing process from concept to completion, collaborating with design engineers, interpreting dynamic CAD drawings, and solving fit-up challenges on the shop floor to ensure high-quality national security hardware.

You will review work orders, plan production sequences, fabricate assemblies, and design fixtures.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on metal fabrication and welding in prototype, R&D, or low-volume production.
10+ years of welding experience with steel, stainless, aluminum, and exotic alloys (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW).
Proficiency in sheet metal forming with tight tolerances.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
Basic machining skills on manual mill and lathe to tight tolerances (±0.005 in).
Strong problem-solving in dynamic R&D environments.
Effective communication of manufacturability feedback to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Review work orders and plan efficient build sequences for timely delivery.
Fabricate assemblies from small to large sizes using welding, machining, and assembly steps.
Own end-to-end R&D tasks from concept through material ordering and fabrication.
Design weld fixtures to hold tight tolerances on complex weldments.
Perform quality checks and flag issues before program integration.
Provide direct feedback to design engineers on manufacturability.
Maintain safety standards and OSHA compliance on the shop floor.
