Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an engineering intern to support the Rapid Prototype Center in developing models for future products using 3D printing, 3D CAD modeling, CNC machining, and laser cutting. The role offers exposure to spray finishing and hands-on project work in a fast-paced environment.

You will learn and contribute to rapid prototyping, with projects ranging from concept ideas to reworking existing components, under engineering teams and project management guidance.

Qualifications

• Possess analytical/problem-solving skills and the ability to use statistical tools
• Able to solve challenging problems involving testing, planning, and implementation of new methods
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of common office tools (e.g. Excel, Word)
• Working towards a Bachelor's or Master’s in Engineering
• U.S. Citizenship or eligible work authorization required

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams in developing models for future products using 3D printing technologies
• Learn 3D CAD modeling, CNC machining, and laser cutting while collaborating on projects
• Participate in quick-turn, hands-on projects and exposure to various finishing techniques
