Job summary

The Toro Company in Bloomington, Minnesota, is seeking a Design Engineer Intern for the summer program. You will join a design team to develop and refine Toro products, creating CAD models, drawings, and prototypes while collaborating with test, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing groups.

You will gain mentorship from experienced engineers, participate in design reviews, and engage in hands-on prototyping using additive manufacturing and CNC methods.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to transfer skills and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop components for Toro products.
• Create CAD models, drawings, prototypes, and concepts.
• Present project updates in design reviews to engineers.
• Collaborate with Test, Quality, Sourcing and Manufacturing teams.
• Support prototype development via additive manufacturing and CNC machining.
• Apply design-for-manufacturing principles (injection molding, stamping).
