Job summary

Sunrise Systems in Pembroke, MA seeks an Engineering Technician to bridge concepts and reality in our engineering lab. You’ll transform raw PCBs and components into working prototypes, performing high-precision SMT rework and assembly with an eye for factory-grade quality.

You’ll diagnose failures with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, design simple test fixtures, and own the lab environment to keep equipment calibrated and ready for the next build.

Qualifications

• Associate’s in Electronics, military training, or equivalent bench experience.
• Expert-level soldering with IPC-610 mindset and 0402s/QFNs.
• Reading schematics like a map and following power rails.
• Great attention to detail and pinpointing cold joints or skewed components.

Responsibilities

• The Build: Turn raw PCBs and components into prototypes with SMT rework and precise assembly.
• The Hunt: Diagnose failures with scopes and analyzers; suggest fixes to design.
• The Lab Rig: Design and build test fixtures and wiring harnesses for validation.
• The Command Center: Own the lab environment and keep equipment calibrated.
