Job summary

AMERICAN FUJI SEAL in Bardstown, KY is seeking a Product Engineering Technician to support the Product Engineering group in producing/mocking-up samples per Sales and Marketing Engineering directions. Focus areas include HP Digital printing, sample creation with various film/ink options, and related engineering duties.

The role requires collaboration with Technical, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Production teams to meet timelines, evaluate designs, and ensure proper material selection

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in engineering tech or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, product development, engineering support, or related environment.
• Experience with digital printing, label converting, packaging, or related production equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all incoming sample requests from Sales and customers, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
• Evaluate template and label designs for manufacturability and dimensional accuracy, applying necessary modifications.
• Develop and produce customer-specific sample products for market validation, testing, and evaluation.
• Use software applications and design tools to create and modify sample templates and configurations.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment for developing and producing customer samples and prototypes.
• Provide technical support for HP Digital Press operations related to samples and print quality.
• Collaborate with Technical, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Production to align on sample requirements and timelines.
• Analyze material characteristics to determine appropriate material selection and application.
• Monitor inventory for sample-making supplies and raw materials to support projects.
• Maintain knowledge of product specs, testing protocols, and engineering docs for production trials.
