Job summary

Technical Professionals Group in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Prototype Diesel Technician to support heavy vehicle testing, performance, and maintenance on pre-production test vehicles. You will perform tests, document findings, and assist with instrumentation installation.

Applicants should have CDL Class A (preferred), a high school diploma, and at least two years of heavy-duty mechanic experience; willingness to travel and work overtime as needed; and strong safety discipline.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of CMVS.
• Knowledge of diagnostic programs; willingness to learn more.
• Willing to travel to multiple sites; ability to drive tractor-trailer.
• Willing to work weekends or overtime if required.
• Highly organized and safety-focused.
• Proficient with PC hardware and Microsoft Office; data-collection interface.
• Able to work in diverse, challenging environments; strong communication.
• Good English language skills, written and verbal.
• Machine shop tools and fabrication skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform instructed tests and repairs with attention to detail.
• Document tests, repairs, configurations in notes.
• Fabricate and install instrumentation for tests.
• Be flexible to travel and/or drive tractor-trailer when needed.
• Other duties; cleaning shop, oil changes, engine overhauls, etc.
