Job summary

Relative Dynamics Inc. is hiring a Machinist to setup and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers and manual shop equipment to manufacture mechanical prototypes and components from CAD drawings and sketches.

The successful candidate will work with metals and other materials, follow setup sheets, and proof parts with GD&T knowledge, all under minimal supervision. A Secret clearance eligibility is required, with 3+ years of Machinist experience (5 preferred).

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a machinist, 5 years is preferred.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for inspecting parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers using setup sheets, tooling lists, and load programs.
• Work from prints, complex drawings, sketches, or samples to plan machine operations.
• Operate various hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble hardware in machine components.
• Plan and perform machine operations on manual lathes, milling machines, drill press, shear, and other equipment under supervision.
