Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Software, Chemical, or related discipline)
- 5+ years of oil and gas experience in Production, Operations, Reservoir, Facilities, Drilling and Completions, or related field
- Hands-on data analysis, scripting, software development, or automation experience
- Ability to translate operational problems into technical solutions
- Experience working cross-functionally with IT, data teams, or technical stakeholders
- Ability to own technical workstreams from concept to deployment
- Comfort with ambiguity; able to design and validate solutions with incomplete information
- Preferred: Python, SQL or similar; Snowflake, Databricks; PowerBI
- Hands-on software prototyping and development; AI/automation familiarity
- Familiarity with collaborative development tools and modern software practices
Responsibilities
- Analyze root causes using technical and business insights.
- Design and develop technology solutions, evaluating build vs buy vs partner options.
- Develop and deploy working prototypes and MVPs.
- Enable cross-functional adoption and handoff to IT for scaling.
- Document approaches and create playbooks for future problems.
