Job summary

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is seeking motivated Full-Time Automotive Oil & Lube Technicians to join our team supporting a leading Automotive Tier 1 Supplier in Livonia, Michigan. You will perform oil changes, basic repairs, and assembly tasks on prototype vehicles and pre-production platforms.

No ASE certifications required. Overtime and weekend shifts are available, with hands-on experience in autonomous and next-gen vehicle technology in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as an Oil & Lube Technician or related automotive role.
• Experience performing oil changes and basic vehicle repairs.
• Basic electrical knowledge related to automotive wiring/electrical components.
• Experience using hand/power tools in automotive settings.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Willingness to work overtime/weekends.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform small vehicle repairs and basic mechanical repairs.
• Modify and assemble prototype vehicles with hand and power tools.
• Remove and reinstall interiors (seats, dashboards, trim).
• Install wire harnesses, sensors, and ECUs.
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting and component installation.
• Fabrication work to support prototype builds as needed.
• Contribute to building autonomous, semi-truck platforms.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Follow engineering instructions and maintain high workmanship.
• Keep work area clean, organized and safe.
