Job summary

Bertrandt in San Jose is seeking an ADAS Technician to support prototype build-ups and perform advanced troubleshooting of ROV issues affecting ADAS systems. The role emphasizes diagnostics, system-level understanding, and the ability to independently resolve complex vehicle problems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, resolving ADAS-related issues, supporting installations and updates on prototype vehicles, and documenting findings in tracking systems such as JIRA.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in Automotive, Electrical, or Mechatronics fields.
• 5+ years of automotive experience with a strong diagnostic focus.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle electrical systems and networks (CAN required) and ECU flashing, coding and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Advanced ROV (rest of vehicle) Troubleshooting.
• Diagnosing and Resolving complex vehicle issues affecting ADAS systems.
• Analyze problems across vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet) and electrical & mechanical faults.
• Perform root cause analysis and define corrective actions.
• Escalate and collaborate with foremen and engineering teams when required.
• Document issues, root causes and fixes; test results and system status in tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
• Support prototype build-ups & systems integration; assist in installations, updates and modifications.
