Job summary

Automotive Technology Experts (ATE) is seeking a Field Technician to deliver high-quality diagnostic, programming, and calibration services across Crash Champions locations. The role requires daily travel in a company vehicle and strict adherence to OEM standards for service recommendations and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5+ years of automotive experience, strong ADAS knowledge, and proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

2-5+ years automotive experience servicing and diagnosing a wide range of vehicle systems.
Strong working knowledge of ADAS and electrical services, including calibrations (levels 1-3), programming, diagnostics, and wire/connector repair.
Proficient with electrical diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, power probes, and resistors.
Ability to perform and interpret vehicle health scans using both factory and non-factory tools.
Reading and interpreting OEM and aftermarket service information and wiring schematics.
Ability to program vehicle modules using factory or approved non-factory software.
Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain technical findings.
Proficiency in Outlook, Teams, and Word.
Strong work ethic with urgency, self-motivation, and professional representation of the ATE brand.
Continuous learner eager to develop new skills.
Comfortable working independently in fast-paced shop environments.
Willingness to travel daily to service locations using a company-provided vehicle.
Saturday availability on a rotating basis (9 AM - 12 PM) or as scheduled.
Flexibility to maintain Saturday schedule.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Deliver fast and accurate ATE service support to internal and external customers.
Travel daily to assigned service locations in a company-provided vehicle.
Perform diagnostics, calibrations, programming, scanning, and wire/connector repair on vehicles.
Ensure services are documented per OEM guidelines and approved before execution.
Conduct test drives to verify system functionality and repair outcomes.
Provide excellent customer service, handling difficult situations with transparency and urgency.
Communicate with shops and internal stakeholders professionally and promptly.
Escalate concerns when needed.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Care for and secure ATE tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Stay current on ATE and OEM protocols via training and updates.
Meet productivity and quality goals while traveling daily.
Complete final billing per MCP guidelines.
Work assigned schedule including Saturday coverage as required.
Maintain flexible availability to meet customer commitments.
