ProtoTRAK Machinist (1st Shift, Monday‑Friday)

Pay: $25‑$30 per hour.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Program and Operate Machines: Use ProtoTRAK milling machines and lathes to create plastic components per technical drawings and job specifications.
• Tool Selection and Settings: Choose appropriate tooling and machine settings for different plastic materials, optimizing efficiency and precision.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct first‑piece inspections and monitor production to meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Adjust for Material Properties: Modify feeds, speeds, and tooling to suit materials like acrylic, PVC, and polycarbonate, ensuring top‑notch surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating ProtoTRAK machines to maintain peak performance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production runs, tooling changes, and machine maintenance activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance machining processes for plastic materials.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to avoid damage to machines and materials, with extra care for materials that may react to heat or stress.
