Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Research Technician to support the Proteomics and Metabolomics Core, enabling high-quality proteomic data generation for biomarker discovery and therapeutic development.

The role involves processing samples, maintaining equipment, recording data, and collaborating with investigators while adhering to safety, QC, and regulatory guidelines. NYC onsite schedule: 37.5 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proven basic laboratory skills and ability to handle diverse tasks in a research setting.

Responsibilities

• Process proteomic samples for Investigators using existing techniques.
• Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other supplies as instructed.
• Operate lab equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and other devices.
• Respond to and complete tasks as instructed by Core leadership and staff on designated projects.
• Record data, write protocols, and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Monitor inventory and communicate with vendor support as needed.
