Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking an experienced Research Technician IV to lead proteomic workflows for clinical precision oncology in a CLIA–CAP environment.

The role requires hands-on experience preparing and analyzing proteomics samples, collaborating across medicine, biology, analytical chemistry and statistics, and driving high-impact projects from day one. The position offers relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field or equivalent.
• 8 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of advanced degree and work experience.
• Proven ability and knowledge to conduct research independently.

Responsibilities

• Process proteomic samples for mass spectrometry analysis.
• Assist in generation and analysis of MS-based proteomic data, incl. PRM/MRM.
• Follow SOPs in a CLIA/CAP lab and participate in competency testing.
• Work with antibodies and purification techniques.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team across medicine, biology, chemistry and statistics.
• Design and present results to colleagues and collaborators.
• Maintain lab equipment and records; manage data and databases.
• Write SOPs and progress reports; co-author manuscripts.
