The Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact is anambitious initiative designed to fast-track scientific discoveriesinto innovations that improve the quality of life for people inOregon, the nation, and the world. Position Summary

The Knight Campus is seeking qualified applicants for its openProTem Instructor/Lecturer pool. Knight CampusInstructors/Lecturers develop innovative and multidisciplinaryeducational materials with the goal of preparing graduate studentsfor entry-level positions in academic, industry, and governmentlabs. If you enjoy teaching students topics that encompass both thelife sciences and materials sciences, we encourage you to apply!Successful Instructors/Lecturers will mentor students on researchprojects that span a breadth of topics and need to stay current oninnovative discoveries and methods.

Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewablefor up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances, thereis the possibility of renewal beyond three years based onprogrammatic need, funding, and performance.

Minimum Requirements

Instructor:

  • Master's degree from an accredited higher education institutionin a relevant science field.
  • Three years of experience in research/innovation capacity.
  • Experience teaching and developing curriculum.

Lecturer:

  • Terminal degree from an accredited higher education institutionin a relevant science field.
  • Three years of experience in research/innovation capacity.
  • Experience teaching and developing curriculum.
Professional Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in bioengineering, biochemistry, biology, biophysics,physics, chemistry, chemical engineering or relateddisciplines
