You will document results meticulously, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to purification process improvements while maintaining safety and organization throughout the lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with protein purification techniques and relevant laboratory equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain buffers, reagents, and other laboratory solutions.
• Prepare and sterilize culture media.
• Grow bacterial cultures for various experiments.
• Perform transformations.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including electrophoresis chambers, centrifuges, sterilizers, and spectrophotometers.
• Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Author and update SOPs as needed.
• Document all experimental procedures, results, and observations meticulously.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize purification processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Assist with ordering and inventory management of laboratory supplies.
