Working under the guidance of experienced biologists, the Lab Technician will gain hands-on experience in protein research and development, contributing to ongoing projects and supporting protein research activities across the lab.

• Run agarose gel electrophoresis for DNA analysis
• Prepare and maintain buffers, reagents, and other laboratory solutions
• Prepare and sterilize culture media
• Grow bacterial cultures for various experiments
• Perform transformations
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including electrophoresis chambers, centrifuges, sterilizers, and spectrophotometers
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Author and update SOPs as needed
• Document all experimental procedures, results, and observations meticulously
