Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Control Room Operator to safely operate the cooker and rendering equipment, ensuring a high-quality finished product that meets food safety and production requirements.

You will inspect equipment daily, communicate safety concerns to management, and monitor material flow and storage for safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include housekeeping and assisting maintenance as needed, with other duties as assigned.

• Must communicate in oral and written formats.
• Must understand the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
• Must possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cooker and rendering equipment to produce a high-quality finished product meeting food safety and production requirements.
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe operation and food safety standards.
• Communicate safety, food safety plan or production issues to management.
• Monitor raw material bins, flow paths and finished storage bins for safety and efficiency.
• Monitor all mechanical systems and report safety, food safety or mechanical issues with ability to react.
• Perform housekeeping in assigned areas; assist maintenance as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
