Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Control Room Operator to safely operate the cooker and rendering equipment, ensuring a high quality finished product in line with food safety standards.

You will inspect equipment daily, monitor material bins and production lines, communicate issues to management, and maintain housekeeping. The role requires physical ability and clear written and oral communication. Shift is day hours with an on-site requirement.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of communicating in both oral and written formats.
• Must have an understanding of the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
• Must possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe operation, food safety and performance specs.
• Communicate any safety, food safety plan or production limitations to management.
• Monitor raw material bins, flow ways and finished storage bins for food safety and efficiency.
• Monitor mechanical systems and report issues; react accordingly.
• Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas; assist maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to all duties as assigned by management.
• Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
