Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Control Room Operator to safely and efficiently operate the cooker and rendering equipment to produce high quality finished products that meet our food safety and production requirements.

You will perform daily equipment inspections, communicate safety or production issues to management, and monitor material and finished product storage to uphold food safety practices. The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and use hands, and follow housekeeping protocols.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
• Understanding of the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
• Must possess effective communication skills.
• The employee is required to lift a minimum of 50lbs and frequently stand, sit and use their hands.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cooker and rendering equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe operation and performance.
• Communicate safety, food safety, and production issues to management.
• Monitor raw material bins, flow ways and finished storage bins for safety and efficiency.
• Perform housekeeping in assigned areas.
• May assist maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
