Job summary

Pace-Analytical-Services-LL in Minnesota is seeking a Biomedical Laboratory Technician to support proteomics and metabolomics testing in our R&D analytical labs. You will perform biopsy prep, protein handling, and assays, while maintaining lab equipment and documentation to support healthcare product development.

This temp role spans about six months with full-time hours. Relevant candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology or related science and have hands-on experience

This will include biopsy prep, protein handling and assays, and general lab maintenance that supports the development of a variety of healthcare products.Compensation: $22.00 - 24.00 per hourNOTE: Role is expected to last 6 monthsResponsibilitiesCompleting Biopsy prep of samples.Preparing samples and solutions for LC or LC-MS analysis.Will be conducting protein quantification.General laboratory activities and instrumentation potentially including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balancesGeneral laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance.Disposes of laboratory materials and samples using well-established guidelines and instructions.RequirementsMinimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology or related science1-2 years of experience with protein extraction, quantification, and general handlingExperience using centrifuges, plate readers, and pipettesExperience using Microsoft Excel for data processing and visualizationExperience with processing and handling tissue samples preferred.HPLC instrument and software experience would be a plus.Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solvingAble to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results drivenAble to communicate effectivelyThis position will require good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase. Good organizational skills, record keeping and follow through will be integral to success.
