Pace is seeking a Protein Purification Chemist to support proteomics and metabolomics testing in the R&D analytical laboratories in Eagan, MN. You will perform biopsy prep, protein handling, assays, and maintain lab readiness for LC/LC-MS analyses, contributing to healthcare product development.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Biochemistry or Biology, 1–2 years protein extraction and quantification experience, and proficiency with centrifuges, pipettes, plate readers, and Excel.

This will include biopsy prep, protein handling and assays, and general lab maintenance that supports the development of a variety of healthcare products. Compensation: $22.00 - 24.00 per hour**NOTE: Role is expected to last 6 month**s **Responsibilities*** Completing Biopsy prep of samples.* Preparing samples and solutions for LC or LC-MS analysis.* Will be conducting protein quantification.* General laboratory activities and instrumentation potentially including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balances* General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance.* Disposes of laboratory materials and samples using well-established guidelines and instructions.**Requirements*** Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology or related science* 1-2 years of experience with protein extraction, quantification, and general handling* Experience using centrifuges, plate readers, and pipettes* Experience using Microsoft Excel for data processing and visualization* Experience with processing and handling tissue samples preferred.* HPLC instrument and software experience would be a plus.* Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving* Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven* Able to communicate effectively This position will require good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase. Good organizational skills, record keeping and follow through will be integral to success.
