Job summary

Pilgrim's in Georgia is seeking a Lead Operator to ensure safety, implement the food safety plan, and uphold CGMP policies. You will maintain open communication with the Production Supervisor/Manager to guarantee production goals are met, quality standards are preserved, and incidents are reported promptly.

Responsibilities include operating all rendering areas (Receiving, Cooker, Feather, Grinding Room, Load Out, Yard Dog, Forklift, Skid, Street Sweeper, and Yard Cart), maintaining cleanliness

• Must communicate in oral and written formats.
• Must understand the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
• Must possess effective communication skills.

• Lead safety and food safety compliance across the facility.
• Maintain communication with the Production Supervisor/Manager to meet production goals.
• Operate all rendering areas: Receiving, Cooker, Feather, Grinding Room, Load Out, Yard Dog, Forklift, Skid, Street Sweeper, and Yard Cart.
• Ensure cleanliness of the rendering and offal areas.
• Review food safety documents before final PCQI approval.
• Fill in for all absentees.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

• Ensure all employees adhere to all the company’s safety guidelines.
• Ensure the food safety plan and CGMPs are being followed: report any non-compliance anomalies to the management.
• Must be able to operate all areas in the rendering; Receiving, Cooker, Feather, Grinding Room, Load Out, Yard Dog, Forklift, Skid, Street Sweeper, and Yard Cart.
• Ensure cleanliness of the rendering and offal areas.
• Review food safety documents before final review by PCQI.
• Fill in for all absentees.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
