The Production Lead is responsible for assisting departmental operations, production, safety and policy enforcement for the assigned department. The Production Lead will assist in maintaining department work schedules ensures proper documentation. Work closely and assist in coordination of the activities involving production paperwork. Understand and enforce HACCP and GMP policies. Understand and communicate KPI’s and Safety information daily with employees in your area of responsibility. Maintain high standards of excellence, attention to detail and the willingness/flexibility to work through peak work cycles.
Trains and coaches employees under the direction of the Supervisor. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training new employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving problems.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence preferred. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and management. Bilingual skills preferred.
Ability to apply mathematical formulas to practical situations.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift up to 45 pounds and sometimes push and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions in both inside and outside environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a level where OSHA required hearing protection is required.
The hours and days of work are established at the discretion of management and may be adjusted (increased or decreased) by management as required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as necessary. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled by customer product demand.
