Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking a Protein Chemistry Scientist for a 6-month temporary assignment onsite in the United States. The role focuses on production, purification, and analysis of fluorescent protein-based products, including dye-labeled antibodies, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology, has hands-on lab skills (HPLC/FPLC, UV-Vis), and can work independently or in a team to meet manufacturing timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Proficiency in general chemical and biological laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Experience with antibody handling and purification, pipetting, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
  • Experience with safe handling of biological materials and chemicals.
  • Experience with bioconjugation chemistry is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, FPLC, and/or gravimetric separation techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and analyze fluorescent protein-based products in accordance with customer requirements and established timelines.
  • Perform purification and analysis of fluorescent dye-labeled antibodies and other biomolecules using HPLC, FPLC, and gravimetric separation techniques.
  • Analyze, interpret, and document scientific data using specialized technical knowledge and laboratory skills.
  • Apply established chemical and biological laboratory techniques and procedures to support manufacturing activities.
  • Maintain effective and professional communication with representatives from other departments and cross-functional teams.
  • Support department goals and business objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and timely completion of assigned work.
  • Follow appropriate procedures for the safe handling of biological materials, chemicals, laboratory equipment, and materials.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple activities and changing priorities.

Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Scientist / Protein Chemistry Scientist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field, along with strong general chemical and biological laboratory skills. Experience with bioconjugation chemistry is a plus. This role will focus on the production, purification, and analysis of fluorescent protein-based products, including fluorescent dye-labeled antibodies and other biomolecules. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while supporting safety, quality, customer requirements, and timely completion of manufacturing activities.

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for prolonged periods as required in a laboratory/office environment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and move light to medium-weight materials or equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds.
