An established industry player is seeking Protective Security Officers to ensure safety and access control at a federal facility. The role involves monitoring security systems, conducting screenings with advanced equipment, and maintaining key control. Echelon Services (Echelon) is seeking several Protective Security Officers (PSO) to join our team. The PSO will be posted at the lobby desk and perform Physical Security Screening and Access Control duties.
The PSO shall serve as the initial point of contact to ensure operations access control needs are met.
The PSO duties include Physical Security Screening and Access Control Screeners utilizing:
Metal Detection equipment;
XRay equipment;
Advanced Imaging Technology equipment
The PSO shall be posted at the lobby desk and shall perform the below listed functions:
Perform beginning of day and end of day checks.
Perform escort duties when required.
Be thoroughly knowledgeable of the access control system to include: generate reports, generate temporary badges, and access monitoring.
Conduct patrols in accordance with routes and schedules established in the Post Orders and observe, detect, report, and respond to all suspected or apparent security violations.
Accept packages and courier deliveries for the facility.
Maintain key control for any keys provided by government.
Answer the telephone, take messages, and refer callers to the appropriate staff member.
Monitor and operate facility intrusion detection systems, closed circuit television systems, automated access control systems, communications systems, and other protection devices or facility equipment located on or near the post, in accordance with the Post Orders.
Perform evacuation responsibilities as a result of fire or other natural disasters.
Must at a minimum demonstrate at least two (2) years of security screening experience utilizing the following equipment:
Metal Detection equipment;
XRay equipment;
Advanced Imaging Technology equipment
PSOs are subject to Drug and Alcohol testing
PSOs are unarmed personnel with no authority to arrest, detain, or enforce federal, state, or local laws.
Must Possess Active Secret Clearance.
Successfully complete basic first aid, CPR, and AED training, with the ability to operate related equipment.
