Echelon Services (Echelon) is seeking several Protective Security Officers (PSO) to join our team. The PSO will be posted at the lobby desk and perform Physical Security Screening and Access Control duties.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact to meet operations access control needs.
• Perform Physical Security Screening and Access Control using Metal Detection, X-Ray, and Advanced Imaging Technology equipment.
• Conduct beginning and end of day checks.
• Perform escort duties when required.
• Manage the access control system: generate reports, create temporary badges, monitor access.
• Conduct patrols following established routes and schedules, observe, detect, report, and respond to security violations.
• Accept packages and courier deliveries.
• Maintain key control for keys provided by the government.
• Answer phones, take messages, and refer callers appropriately.
• Monitor and operate facility intrusion detection, CCTV, access control, and communication systems as per Post Orders.
• Perform evacuation procedures during emergencies.

Requirements

• At least two (2) years of security screening experience with Metal Detection, X-Ray, and Advanced Imaging Technology equipment.
• Subject to Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Unarmed personnel with no authority to arrest or enforce laws.
• Must possess an Active Secret Clearance.
• Complete basic first aid, CPR, and AED training and operate related equipment.
