Job summary

The State of Missouri, Department of Health and Senior Services, is seeking an Adult Protective Services Specialist in St. Louis to investigate abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults. You will conduct home visits, interview stakeholders, and coordinate protective interventions to safeguard clients.

On-call rotations and local travel are required. Eligible for mileage reimbursement and strong benefits. The position offers a defined pension plan, generous leave, holidays, and health insurance

Qualifications

• Four or more years of relevant experience in protective services.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other human services field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of elderly individuals (60+) and disabled persons (18+).
• Conduct home visits to observe living conditions and interview victims and caregivers.
• Coordinate interventions and assess ongoing protective services needs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with team members.
• Travel within the local multi-county area for home visits, hearings, and training sessions.
