Job summary

Office of Children's Services in Alaska seeks a Protective Services Specialist to handle child protection investigations and family services across the Southeast region. The role involves coordinating with families, developing intervention plans, and working with courts and community partners.

Travel is required to cover Craig, Juneau, and other remote communities as needed. Positions are full-time with field responsibilities in Craig or Juneau offices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of child abuse and/or neglect and prepare plans for intervention.
• Solicit cooperation of families and gather information about family dynamics/functionality.
• Develop safety plans and determine placement of children in out-of-home care when necessary.
• Write and submit reports to the Court and work with Tribal/Community Partners.
• Travel within Southeast Alaska; may involve evenings and weekends as assigned.
