San Francisco Human Services Agency is seeking a Protective Services Worker to provide clinical/advocacy services for conservatees. The role involves managing a large caseload, interfacing with mental health courts, and coordinating with multiple city departments to ensure appropriate care and safety for vulnerable adults.

Qualified applicants hold an MSW (CSWE) or an equivalent counseling master’s degree and possess or be eligible for relevant California licenses. Travel within SF is required.

Qualificações

• Master's in Social Work from CSWE-accredited program.
• Second qualifying master’s in counseling (e.g., MFT, MSW, LPCC) with supervised field placement.
• Licensed or eligible for California social work/counseling licensure.

Responsabilidades

• Investigates eligibility for psychiatric care and services via interviews and collateral sources.
• Conducts in-person visits in jails, hospitals, nursing facilities, and community settings in SF and beyond.
• Performs crisis interventions during and after business hours.
• Completes timely court reports and may provide expert testimony.
• Evaluates treatment plans and levels of care; documents cases in digital systems.
• Collaborates with Public Health, Police, Jail, and City Attorney’s Office.
