Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required.
• Master’s degree in counseling from a CSWE-accredited program required.
• Graduate field placement experience with elders/dependent adults or related populations.
• Six months post-baccalaureate direct service experience in relevant settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to determine eligibility for psychiatric care and services.
• Visit various settings including jail, state hospital, inpatient units and community settings.
• Assist with crisis interventions during business or after hours.
• Prepare time-sensitive court reports and provide expert testimony as needed.
• Evaluate and approve psychiatric treatment plans and medications.
• Assess placement appropriateness and level of care.
• Complete placements and legal/medical forms as needed.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and digital case management systems for charting.
• Collaborate with Public Health, Police, Jail and City Attorney’s Office.
