Job summary

BTI Security is seeking a dedicated security professional to patrol facilities, control access, and monitor surveillance to ensure safety and compliance. The role emphasizes clear reporting, rapid response, and adherence to contract requirements.

Ideal candidates will have a valid Security Guard Card, a couple of years in security, and strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and visitors. This is a full-time on-site position based in Bethesda, Maryland.

Qualifications

• Two years of security experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a customer service-driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
• Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
• Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
