Qualifications

• Must be able to meet and continue to meet all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for FPS Protective Security Officers.
• Must speak, read, and write coherent English.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must pass a physical and drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must obtain contract suitability.
• Contractor Provided Initial Weapons Exhibit/Certificate.
• Contractor Provided Basic Training Exhibit/Certificate.
• Contractor Provided Refresher Training Exhibit/Certificate (if applicable).
• FPS Orientation Exhibit/Certificate.
• Virginia Handgun and Guard License.

Responsibilities

• Control access to client facility through the admittance process and assist visitors.
• Monitor entrances/exits and manage movement of people and vehicles.
• Patrol the assigned site on foot.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident and provide direction or information.
• Prepare logs or reports for post operations.
• Respond to incidents following established procedures.
• Carry out tasks of a similar nature and scope as required for the post.
