Job summary

Golden SVCS, LLC seeks a Protective Security Officer for on-site work across multiple Virginia locations. The role focuses on protecting federal property and employees, with regular access control, patrols, and incident response.

The position requires FPS experience, a Virginia Handgun and Guard License, and adherence to security regulations. The role emphasizes a strong commitment to safety, compliance with licensing requirements, and the ability to operate in high-stress environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write using coherent English language.
• Must be 21 years old
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must pass a physical and drug screen
• Must pass a background check
• Must be able to obtain contract suitability
• Must already have current FPS experience and applicable qualifications as outlined below:
• Contractor Provided Initial Weapons Exhibit/Certificate
• Contractor Provided Basic Training Exhibit/ Certificate
• Contractor Provided Refresher Training Exhibit/Certificate
• FPS Orientation Exhibit/Certificate
• Virginia Handgun and Guard License

Responsibilities

• Control access to client facility through the admittance process. Assist visitors with entry.
• Monitors entrances and exits; prevents unapproved entry; controls movement of people and vehicles; operates gate and CCTV.
• Patrols assigned site on foot.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident; sets up barriers and signage; provides direction or information.
• Prepares logs or reports as required for post
• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, etc. following procedures.
• Carries out tasks of a similar nature for the post.
