Job summary

Wabash Valley Power Association seeks an experienced technician to maintain protective relays and control equipment across transmission facilities. You will install, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot relays, keeping records to ensure reliability and compliance.

The role requires strong safety focus and the ability to collaborate with engineers and operators. Qualified candidates hold an associate degree in electrical technology with 5+ years in electric utility settings; a bachelor’s is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of protective relaying systems and their role in transmission.
  • Ability to read substation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with AC/DC electrical systems and safety procedures.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
